Race to the finish.

We just had pizza for lunch and this is the last few weeks of school. We have progressed together as a class and are heading towards the end of the school year.

I know its a little early to mention the finals but, if that is indeed our goal and it should be, then we need to start as early as possible. We need to show what we can do individually and collectively as a class before the school break. Lets start getting on ourselves and pushing ourselves to do better in all our subjects.

Lets get on our work and put our best foot forward.

We have been working towards this for three long weeks now and everyone has put in their share of hard work. Let's go out there today really have fun and show what we have learned these few weeks.

Remember the journey is as important as the destination but we still want to let it all out on stage.

P/S. Second group of class presentations is on the 28th of April. That is only a week away.

Basketball and PTA

Some of you are excited at the POSSIBLE formation of a basketball team in school. It is a great thing if the conditions stated can be met. Mainly, your grades are not to suffer and everyone puts in extra effort to show that you can take on the extra responsibility of training and studying hard at the same time.

Remember the principal also added that he will re-evaluated his reluctance to let the lower grades be a apart of this IF we can show that we can up our grades after the first mid-term. So if you want this bad enough, time to buckle down and hit the books. Best case scenario is if you can encourage each other along the way too.

PTA is this weekend so come to me with any concerns that you have and I will discuss them with your parents.

Welcome back!!

The second semester of the school year has started and I'd like to start by welcoming everyone back!

It's going to be a busy time of the year with lots of different activities going on, but we should not let the extra-curricular activities that happens during the school year distract us from our original goal. We are here to get an education and to learn as much as we can from our teachers and each other. (positive influences only obviously)

So for this new school semester lets outline some of the things we need to focus on.

Lets work hard!
Nobody can make us learn except for ourselves. We can get all the help we need as long as we ask, but it is up to us to put in the hard work required to do well in school.

Learn to take instructions.
Follow instructions and learn to be detailed and specific about all our work. We need to be responsible for all aspects of our own lives and taking control of our lives means we have to care more about things around us. We have to complete tasks that leaves a stamp on it that shows it is our work. We have to start taking pride in our work and not just cruise by in life and everything we do.

Remember what we are in school for!!
Making friends and everything else is secondary to getting a good education and getting into a good university. We are here to study and get good grades. Everything that helps us work towards that goal we should nourish and embrace and everything that leads us away from that goal we should stay away from.

Once again welcome back and have a great semester ahead.

Semester End.

The semester flew by and we all had a challenging and learning experience. The time for a break is here and I wish everyone a "Happy Chinese New Year". Hope you receive lots of "Hong Pau" but learn to be responsible with it and spend it wisely.

Remember there will be winter homework so don't go too crazy and forget ALL your responsibilities as a student.

Once again enjoy your break, stay safe and I will see everyone back and recharged!!!

Year end coming soon.

We've had a busy few weeks with the school anniversary and Christmas party just past. Now that most of the major celebrations are over, it is time once again to dig down and concentrate on our  studies.

We only have three weeks to go before the end of the semester so lets put our efforts into our finals then relax as the Chinese New Year comes around.
